Noah the Pigeon
These little bunnies, about 6 days old, were attacked by a dog and orphaned. Two out of the litter of five did not survive, and these three were not doing very well. Noah is a non-releasable, one-legged homing pigeon/rock dove that is in the rehab centre. Noah kept going over to the bunny cage and looking in -- even sleeping in front of the door to the cage.
Then, suddenly, there were only two bunnies in the cage. But when Noah moved a bit from the front of the cage to everyone's surprise...there was the tiny bunny...under Noah's wing...sound asleep! That little bunny rabbit had crawled through the cage, preferring a featherbed, no doubt to snuggling up with its littermates!
Now, they are all together and the bunnies are doing GREAT.. When the bunnies scoot underneath Noah's feathers, he carefully extends his wings out to surround them and then they snuggle. When one of them moves and they start sticking out here and there, he gently pushes them back under him with his beak! It is beautiful and amazing to see...Kitties Rescued by US Marine Soldiers in Afghanistan
Three US marine soldiers, Brian Chambers, Chris Berry and Aaron Shaw, started a mission to help bring home the kittens they have befriended while serving in Afghanistan . With generous donations from cat lovers and help from Noward Dogs animal rescue, Kiki and Keykey, two lovely ginger kitties, have successfully made it home in the US.
In Afghanistan, in the midst of war, many animals are lost and separated from their family. Many are found later by troops from the US, UK and Canada. Soldiers rescue these animals and get help from rescue groups that help them send these animals out of the country and to a forever loving home that they deserve.

One Pound Deer
This tiny deer was delivered by Caesarean section at a Wildlife hospital after a car killed his mother. Little Rupert, who is so small he can fit in an adult's hand, was born after vets failed in their battle to save his mother.
At just 6" tall and weighing just over a pound, he is now in an incubator in the intensive care unit at Tiggywinkles Wildlife Hospital in Buckinghamshire. He has only recently opened his eyes.
Les Stocker, founder of Tiggywinkles, said, "Rupert's mother had very severe injuries. We brought him out and got him breathing, and then he went into an incubator on oxygen. He is now being fed by a tube.
Staff members are optimistic that Rupert, now 5 days old, will make a full recovery.
"Deer are very, very tricky, but this one has spirit. He's an extremely feisty,
Little guy and quite pushy," Mr. Stocker said.
Kitty Without Legs Needs A New Home - I'm not sure i agree with this story
Callie Mae is a survivor kitty. She has no more than nubs after her legs were amputated in an accident, but she still plays and even can catch mice. While the shelter has received dozens of adoption requests, they’re holding out to ensure she can get a home that will be able to handle her special needs.
The Leopard and the Golden Retriever
Salati, a ten-month-old leopard, and her best friend, golden retriever Tommy, like nothing more than to run amok before settling down for a friendly cuddle. The odd couple were reared together at Glen Afric Country Lodge near Pretoria in South Africa.
South African Ingenuity
A shop owner in Brakpan , South Africa , was tired of people breaking into his yard/shop so he came up with the idea of shaving his dog like a lion. Everyone in SA recognises a lion, now he has no problem with thugs!

Chicken adopts litter of puppies
A hen in Shrewsbury, UK has been nesting on a litter of puppies born on the farm of Edward and Ros Tate. This is to the chicken’s advantage, as the Tates have since decided to not eat her:
Mr Tate said: ‘Mabel was hatched here about a year ago. She would have gone onto someone’s dinner plate but we saved her.[...]
‘We have a dog, Nettle, which has just given birth to a litter of pups. Within a few days of giving birth, Nettle was up and about, prowling in the yard.
‘Mabel observed Nettle’s behaviour and, as soon as there was a chance, she hoped into the dog basket to roost on the pups.‘She keeps them and herself warm, while Nettle is outside on the yard.’ Link
New leopard species caught on film!
The Sundaland clouded leopard, a little understood species of leopard located in Borneo, has been filmed for the first time. It was only classified as a separate species a few years ago, and listed as endangered in 2008.
The leopard, a healthy-looking animal a metre long (3 feet) and weighing about 40 kilos (90 pounds) was caught on video at night at the Dermakot Forest Reserve in Malaysian Borneo’s Sabah state.Link
“What surprised us was that while clouded leopards are very elusive cats, this one was not scared at all,” said Azlan Mohamed, a field scientist with University Sabah Malaysia.
“Despite our powerful spot lights and the roar of our vehicle’s engine, it walked around our vehicle calmly,” he told AFP.

Cheetahs play with little Impala

Manta rays swim with divers off the coast of Mexico
Photographer Franco Banfi captured on camera the manta actually seeking out a diver. He said: "Normally they are quite shy and reserved and get together in small groups only during the mating period and at what are called 'cleaning stations', where small fish clean parasites. But at San Benedicto the mantas actually actively go right up to the divers, taking a position two or three metres above our heads...Check out more amazing photos here!

Update on Oscar, Grim Reaper Cat

Since then, Oscar has doubled his predictions to 50. But the staff of the hospice, particularly Dr. David Dosa, want the world to know it’s not as ominous as it may sound. The experience shared between them, patients, and family members is nothing short of remarkable, although Oscar’s methods are surely more natural than supernatural.
Dosa said there is no scientific evidence to explain Oscar’s abilities, but he thinks the cat might be responding to a pheromone or smell that humans simply don’t recognize.Dr. Dosa hopes to educate people about terminal illness, with a little help from Oscar’s story. ”I wanted to write a book that would go beyond Oscar’s peculiarities, to tell why he is important to family members and caregivers who have been with him at the end of a life
(He) recounts one instance when staff were convinced of the imminent death of one patient but Oscar refused to sit with that person, choosing instead to be on the bed of another patient down the hallway. Oscar proved to be right. The person he sat with died first, taking staff on the ward by surprise.
